Mr. Wendell Lee Burns, 69, of Hamptonville, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. Mr. Burns was born August 23, 1940, in Ashtabula, OH, to Arvel Reese and Pauline Goldie Clark Burns. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
