William Darrell Robertson

Mr. William Darrell Robertson, 66, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Darrell was born  October 22, 1959, in Forsyth County, to the late Charlie Martin Robertson, Sr. and Beulah Sechriest Robertson Moore.  Darrell was a loving fiancée, father, "papa," and brother and a friend to so many. 

Darrell is survived by his loving fiancée Sharon Mills; a son, Jacob Robertson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Adrean and Tony Chabot and Ashley and Ishaq Hussain; his special daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Mills, Janet  and Cody Angel, and Crissy and Mark Ransdell; five grandchildren, William Chabot, Matthew Chabot, Zachary Chabot, Lucas Chabot, and Jack Moretta; three special grandchildren, David Ransdell, Jordyn Ransdell, and Avery Angel; a sister, Judy Salgado; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Robertson, Tim and Renee Robertson, and Shelia Robertson.  Darrell is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with numerous cousins.

Darrell enjoyed spending time with his family.  He also loved his daily trips for coffee and conversation with his Waffle House family and special friends, "Leroy and Ron."  He loved camping, hunting, and fishing.  He served in the United States Army and graduated from Montreat College with a bachelor's degree in software engineering.  He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.  Darrell will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.       

In addition to his parents, Darrell  was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Martin Robertson Jr.; and a sister, Deborah Jean Robertson Clark.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Dale Bass officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.
