William Carroll Hiatt

Mr. William Carroll Hiatt, age 75, of Ararat, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  He was born in Surry County on March 12, 1945, to the late Clarence and Virginia Hiatt.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Annabelle Hiatt; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Dina Hiatt, Darren and Lori Hiatt; grandchildren, Levi Hiatt and wife Bailey, Madison Hiatt, Sam Hiatt; and brother, Richard “Red” Hiatt.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Hiatt was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Hiatt.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Bethel Moravian Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Charles Fishel.  For those wishing to pay their respects, you may do so between the hours of 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.  If you plan to attend the service, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
