William Edward "Big Ed" McMillian

Mr. William Edward “Big Ed” McMillian, age 67, of Mount Airy, NC, passed away at his residence on Friday afternoon February 24, 2023.  He was born August 25, 1955, in Alleghany County to the late William Edward McMillian and Eva Sue Simpson McMillian.  He was a very kind man who always had a smile on his face.  Big Ed loved to sing.  He always had a great sense of humor and was always dressed to impress.  When Big Ed was younger, you would always find him riding his bike and always ready to go fishing, but today he was always cleaning on his van.  Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Latacha DuBrul of Sugar Grove, VA; grandchildren, Elijah Lee, Isaiah DuBrul, and Alexis DuBrul; son-in-law, James DuBrul; and many special friends and family.  A celebration of life will be held Saturday afternoon March 4, 2023, at White Plains Baptist Church, 444 New Haven Road, Sparta, NC 28675 with Pastor Sue Greene officiating.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the McMillian family.
