William Neal Branch

Mr. William Neal Branch, age 89, formerly of Dobson, passed away at his home in Elberton Ga, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. He was born December 6, 1935, in Surry County, to the late William Howard Branch and the late Anna Badgett Branch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Francis Joyce; and his brothers, Joe Bill Branch and Curtis Branch.

Mr. Branch was a member of Blues Grove Baptist Church and also attended Bethel E. Baptist Church in Elberton. He was also a farmer and retired truck driver, who enjoyed restoring old tractors, fishing, and raising his garden.  Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Fearington Branch, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Gary and Angie Branch, and Chris Tuttle; grandson, Justin Branch (Shanna); grandson, Shannon Davis (Ashley); great-granddaughter, Izzy Branch; and great-grandsons, Andrew Davis and Avery Davis; special friends, Raburn Jordan (Joan). Tim Norton (Jennifer), Renae Moss, Felix Tharpe, preacher J.T. Albea, Jim Delany (Barbara), and Johnny Johnson.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:30-2:00 PM, at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A funeral service for Mr. Branch will begin at 2:00 PM, in the Moody-Davis Chapel, with Rev. Tony Holder and Rev. Scott Mize officiating. Burial will follow in the Blues Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to offer special thanks to Bethel E. Baptist Church and Danny McCraw, and Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care provided by Jessica, Miranda, Jennifer and Tim. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Bethel E. Baptist Church, 2576 Calhon Falls Road, Elberton GA 30635. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Branch family.  The family will receive friends at other times at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Angie Branch.
