William "Wade" Pack

Mr. William “Wade” Pack, age 76 of Ararat, Virginia, passed away Thursday morning, January 22, 2026, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Wade was born on May 6, 1949, in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Henry and Nina Lawson Pack. He was a loving partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather, and sibling, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Wade had a deep passion for his logging business, as the owner, loved to go carp fishing, and watching a good dirt track race, most importantly he loved his family. Left to cherish his memories, his partner of many years, Tammy; two kids of the home, Jaden and Legand and Alexus “Jack” and fiancé, Chris Walker, of Columbia, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Eva Baker and Daniel, of State Road; son and daughter-in-law, Jr. Pack and Leah, of Yadkinville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ollie Munday, of Ararat, VA, Carolyn Eldridge, of Ararat, VA, Judy Brown and Tommy, of Ararat, VA, Kathy Eldridge, of Hamptonville, Irene Meraz and Agustine, of Hamptonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Pack and Joann, of Ararat, VA, Calvin Pack and Joyce, of Ararat, VA, Horce Pack, of Statesville; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren, and one on the way; many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wade was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Wood Pack, second wife, Wilma "Jean" Pack. The family will hold a private graveside service on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Pack Cemetery, with the Rev. Sammy Lawson and Rev. Lauren Bryant officiating. There will not be any formal services held at this time. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Pack family.
