William Thomas Sheppard

Mr. William Thomas “Tommy” Sheppard, 84, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy.  He was born in Stokes County on April 25, 1937, to the late Samuel Guy and Mary Beasley Sheppard.  Mr. Sheppard retired from Coke in Mt. Air.  He is survived by a brother, Joel E Sheppard; a sister, Delia Sheppard Hutchens; a sister-in-law, Virginia Hilton Sheppard; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Sheppard was preceded in death by his wife, Verlie Hiatt Sheppard; a daughter, Sandra Gail Sheppard Ayers; a brother, Leon Samuel Sheppard.  A private burial will be at the Peoples Church Cemetery.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
