Willie Junior Martin

Mr. Willie Junior Martin, 78, of Cana, VA, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born February 18, 1945, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Willie Andrew and Flora Mae Hawks Martin.  Mr. Martin retired from Cross Creek Apparel.  He is survived by a daughter, Amy L. Martin; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dean Martin and Clyde and Lydia Martin; and three grandchildren, Keenan Gaddy, Haley Martin, and Zoe Martin.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lee Bryant Martin.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Cana Baptist Church, with the Rev. Russell Vass and the Rev. Pete King officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Cana Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 318 White Pines Country Club Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030, c/o Russell Vass.
