Windell Dean Turman

Mr. Windell Dean Turman, 69, of Mt. Airy, NC, went to his heavenly home, Sunday, August 28, 2022.  He was born in Floyd, VA, May 1, 1953, to the late Cecil and Ethel Spence Turman.  Mr. Turman was a family man, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and all his family.  He relished spending time with his family and stressed the importance of love and respect for each other.  He enjoyed driving a truck and spent more than 43 years of his career doing so.  He worked for various companied throughout his career before retiring from Walmart with 14 years of service.  Mr. Turman is survived by his devoted wife Hazel Goins Turman; his children DeAnna McHone, Sarah Lynn Blevins and husband Aaron, and Abigail Harbour and husband Trey; a special grandson Michael Gwyn, other grandchildren, Ashley Blevins, Kimberly Whetstone and husband Anthony, Thomas Blevins and wife Elizabeth; a sister Betty Turman; brothers, Junior Turman and wife Mildred, David Turman, and Elmer Turman.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Turman was preceded in death by a sister Mae Marie Turman.  Due to health concerns, all services will be private.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
