Winfred Lester Montgomery

Mr. Winfred Lester Montgomery, 71, of Ararat, VA, died Friday, December 6, 2013, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Montgomery was born in Patrick County on August 24, 1942 to the late Hie Maddison and Sallie Barnard Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Folger Lee Montgomery. Surviving are sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy M. Noah, Ruby M. Mankins and Maxine M. and husband Haywood King all of Ararat, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Helen Montgomery and Roosevelt and Pat Montgomery all of Ararat, Acie Montgomery of Vandergrift, PA and Barnard and Love Montgomery of Hillsville, VA, Franklin D. Montgomery and Julia Van Dyke of Wilmington, DE; several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
